Location Mise en scene

The first Location is Mark’s house. We choice to film here as it gives of a very warm and peaceful setting compared to the others scenes. Another reason we choice to film here as it was an easy location which we could always film. As you can see from the pictures it has a very natural feel.

The second location is the chapel. We did have plans to film in a bigger church but when it came down to filming we thought that it looked too big and empty and you could not feel the tension so we decided to film somewhere small and the chapel fitted, we chose to include a scene within a chapel or church rather than praying in a bedroom as most thriller films have some form of strong religious influence.

The final location is Boston Manor Park. With this location there were many possible location spots such as the open field or the walkway but in the end we decided to film under the motorway. This allowed us to pan across as we follow the girls and also allow us to see that she is being followed. It gave a very cold and unsafe environment, which adds to the mood of the sequence and vulnerability of the character.

We choice to film at all locations also due to easy access so if we need to film more or again at a later stage it is able to be done much quicker than if shot at other locations.
